FREQUENTLY ASKED
Questions About the Programmes
Are these programmes suitable for someone who has never studied finance?
Yes. The reading materials are written for a general adult audience. No background in finance or economics is needed. The language is plain and the monthly format allows readers to absorb topics at their own pace.
What is covered in the twelve monthly reading topics?
Topics rotate across the year and include: how the Thai Social Security Office pension works, provident fund basics, what documents are useful to organise before retirement, how to approach conversations about finances with family, common misunderstandings about retirement timing, and related subjects. The full topic list is available on request.
Is the Caregiver Workshop suitable for families based outside Bangkok?
The workshop currently runs as an in-person session at our Ekkamai, Bangkok location. Participants travelling from other provinces are welcome. We hold sessions on Saturdays to make attendance more manageable for those coming from outside the city. Contact us for current dates.
Does any programme involve financial advice or investment recommendations?
No. Quietyears is an educational publisher. None of the materials, sessions, or communications from our team constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. We describe how retirement systems work; we do not tell participants what to do with their money or assets.
How do printed materials arrive, and can I opt for email only?
The default format is printed mail plus email. Participants who prefer email delivery only can request that when registering. Printed materials are sent by domestic post at the start of each month. Delivery within Bangkok typically takes 2–3 working days.
What is the cancellation policy for the Annual Programme?
The Annual Programme is billed in full at registration. Cancellations within 14 days of registration receive a full refund if no materials have been dispatched. Cancellations after that point are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly to discuss your circumstances.
