What Quietyears offers
Quietyears produces and distributes printed and digital educational reading materials focused on the Thai retirement and pension system. The three programmes available are the Retirement Reading Calendar, the Caregiver Information Workshop, and the Annual Reading and Materials Programme.
All materials are editorial and educational in character. Nothing produced or delivered by Quietyears constitutes financial advice, investment guidance, legal advice, or personal recommendations of any kind. Subscribers and workshop participants are responsible for their own decisions.
Eligibility
Programmes are open to residents of Thailand. Workshop sessions are delivered in Bangkok. Printed materials are dispatched to Thai postal addresses only.
Retirement Reading Calendar
The calendar runs on a rolling annual basis from the date of enrolment. Printed materials are dispatched in the first week of each calendar month. Email versions are distributed on the same schedule. The calendar is paced for independent reading; no assignments, assessments, or interaction with Quietyears staff are required or provided.
Caregiver Information Workshop
Session dates are confirmed by Quietyears in advance and communicated by email to registered participants. The workshop is informational and is designed for adult children and other family members supporting an older person. No advisory content is delivered during sessions. Participants are asked to arrive having reviewed any preparatory reading provided before the session.
Annual Reading and Materials Programme
The annual programme runs for twelve months from the enrolment date. It includes all twelve monthly reading calendar editions, participation in two workshop sessions scheduled within the programme year, and a printed reference folder updated annually. The reference folder is dispatched within four weeks of enrolment.
Workshop session dates for programme participants are confirmed separately. If a scheduled session cannot be attended, the participant may request a place at an alternative session within the same programme year, subject to availability.
Payment terms
Programme fees are payable in full prior to commencement of service. Payment details are provided following an enquiry. Prices are in Thai Baht and are inclusive of any applicable taxes.
Quietyears does not store payment card details. Bank transfer is the standard payment method. Receipts are issued by email on confirmation of payment.
Price changes
Programme prices may be reviewed annually. Enrolled subscribers are notified of any price change before their renewal date. Price changes do not apply to the current active period of any programme.
Reading Calendar
Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time by writing to [email protected]. No further materials will be dispatched after the cancellation date. Fees for months already delivered are not refundable. Unused months remaining in the subscription year are refunded on a pro-rata basis, with a processing deduction of ฿400.
Caregiver Information Workshop
Cancellations received more than ten working days before a session date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations received between three and ten working days before the session date are eligible for a 50% refund or a transfer to a future session. Cancellations received fewer than three working days before the session are not eligible for a refund, though a transfer to a future session may be arranged at Quietyears' discretion.
Annual Programme
Cancellations within fourteen days of enrolment, where no materials have been dispatched and no workshop attended, are eligible for a full refund. After this period, refunds are calculated on the same basis as the individual components described above.
Programme disruption by Quietyears
If Quietyears is unable to deliver a scheduled workshop or reading edition due to circumstances within our control, we will either reschedule delivery or offer a proportional credit toward the next subscription period.
Editorial content
All reading materials, workshop handouts, and reference folder contents are produced by Quietyears and remain the intellectual property of Quietyears. Subscribers and workshop participants receive a personal, non-transferable licence to read and retain the materials for their own use.
Materials may not be reproduced, forwarded, or distributed to third parties, whether commercially or otherwise, without written permission from Quietyears.
Editorial nature of materials
Quietyears materials describe the Thai retirement and pension system in general terms, drawing on publicly available regulatory and government sources. The information is intended to help readers understand the landscape and formulate their own questions — not to direct decisions. Quietyears accepts no responsibility for decisions made by readers or workshop participants based on the content of our materials.
Accuracy and currency
Retirement and pension regulations change. While Quietyears updates materials annually, we cannot warrant that every detail reflects the most current regulatory position at all times. Readers should consult current official sources or qualified professionals for decisions that depend on precise regulatory detail.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any disputes arising from the use of Quietyears programmes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
